smelly feet, sleepy eyes and love.

February 14, 2011

ewwww – feet!

I hate feet. ICK. Ugly things. although seriously DO NOT google feet images… safe search off….OMFG!

Mine tonight are particularly bad as I have stood up on them all day in a pair of synthetic shoes. Todays workload doubled unexpectedly when another leader called in with Gastro.

So after ringing to check with J {not really necessary but done out of kindness} I discovered that there was a babysitter booked and a romantic table for two… ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

This is something I have asked to happen – an unplanned dinner that is taken care of {babysitter and all} totally by him.

And it has come – on a rare V.D. night off…

Completely coincidental day/month wise.

The dilemma begins –

  • work = + money
  • dinner = – money
  • work = helping anther leader
  • dinner = fun
  • work = traveling long distance
  • dinner = unplanned eating
  • work = commitment
  • dinner = precious time together
  • work = none next week so could re-book?
  • dinner = awkward timing and a hate of V.D.

Work won – with no one else to fill in. Both ๐Ÿ˜ฆ and ๐Ÿ™‚ .

So a bittersweet work day you might say.

and there is always next week, with more money earnt to pay for dinner and no awkward sign needed saying ” we are here cos we love each other everyday, see each other not overly often and are just enjoying a date night….ย  oh yeah & we hate V.D. so dont judge us” ๐Ÿ˜†

~~~
I got up this morning at 6.25am and walked for 5min and then ran for 4mins straight! then I walked for a bit and ran again for 5mins! Walk – run 2.5min, Walkย  – run 5min more!! 16.5mins of running today and my foot hasnt been sore.
Progress.
Eating today has been spot on – I feel good great! and am now looking forward to that planned dinner next Monday.
After that early and energetic start and 4 meetings chatting bout all the WW stuff – I am stuffed & am off to shower the feet & go to bed.
Night all.
    You summed it all up perfectly with this one word: Progress.
    Dinners can happen on any night – VD is overrated in my opinion. But so lovely of your other half to have it arranged as a surprise for you!
    I know – and that was the best part of it all – that it was thought of and arranged. We will go out next week that definite.
